metric conversions are too easy
if meters is the standard ..10^ (0) then centiM = 10^(-2), milliM = 10 ^(-3).....so

take problem 3) 160cm = ? mm .....
(160 * 10^(-2) = ? * 10^(-3) )
to decrease the power from (-2) to (-3), move 1 Dec Point to right
160 becomes 1600

the use base 10 conversions allows us to just move the decimal point to solve

(another decimal point exercise is scientific notation.... practice it)

Its a good thing you are not in Chemical Engineering because you have to use English units instead of SI. This can cause a lot of unnecessary headaches. SI unit are nice easy and perfect.
