If the mold is white and webs over the cigar/cigars...DO NOTHING..This is called bloom, or sometimes called plume. This means that your humidor is aging your cigars perfectly. Bloom is a great sign.

If a cigar that you wish to smoke has bloom, just wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel before smoking, and enjoy.

However, if the mold is black, or blue, or green, then you have a serious problem.

If this is the case, you need to carefully inspect each cigar in your humidor and throw away every cigar with even the smallest sign of this mold.

You'll need to either replace or vigorously clean your humidification device, and air out (leave open) your humidor for at least 3 days.

To avoid these issues in the future, be sure that you are not over humidifying your cigars. Buy a digital homographer and make sure that your humidity does not go over 75%.

feel free to email me for more details.

Hope this helped.

BTW Try a Oliva Special S.....Great Smoke!!!

If you indeed have the mold problem, you can sanitize your Humidor with an EcoQuest Air Purifier. It is scientifically proven to kill mold and bacteria.

After you do that, you can use the AIR PURIFIER to keep your place smelling fresh, despite the cigar smoking. I have customers that own cigar bars that use this product and swear by it.
