I've work in cosmetics for a while and Estee has a good line but the colors lean more towards the neutrals and her products are formulated for mature to older skin. MAC is definitely for younger, tighter skin and has the most fun and versatile colors of any of these lines. Lancome falls in between cause eyeshadows are basic but their Juicy tube glosses are the absolute best!
If your in your teens to late twenties-MAC
Late twenties to late thirties-Lancome
Late thirties and up-Estee

I don't know what Estee Lauder is good for, but Lancome is good for their award-winning mascaras, and MAC is good for eyeliner and eyeshadow. Hope that helps! =)

There is something in Estee Lauder eye shadow that made my eyelids itch like crazy. Too much perfume in their product. I like Lancome myself.

For eyeshadows, foundation, eyeliners, eyebrows, blushes: I vote for MAC
For lipgloss: I vote for Lancome's juicy tubes (the quality of eyeshadows is good too but in terms of the price and variety of color choices, I would prefer MAC)

Lancome! They are pricey but they have the best mascara!! All their makeup is good though :)

Lancome....their mascaras are better, everything they do is better and usually before anyone else.
