I live in Scottsdale, AZ and the lowest gas price I found here was $2.59 for Unleaded. I paid around $2.73 for Unleaded though. It could be cheaper in town because we have so many different suburbs here in the Phoenix Metro area.
It seems like they are going down but I don't keep my hopes up. They tend to sky rocket with a blink of an eye. You know the sad thing is.. we consider this being cheap when in reality.. it's still freakin expensive. I miss gas being $.88

the oil agencies are speaking the will advance the position initially because of the destruction of the refinerys in new orleans. ( yet the oil from new orleans actually accounted for 3% of the countries gas) Now they say its costing them more effective to refine and deliver the fuels then it used to. the incidents foreign places are not any more having a substantial effect with gas costs because of the very reality the federal governments have not placed an extra effective tax on gas ( even with the reality that a number of states have ) they say there is going to be an 80 cent advance via memorial day nonetheless. the important ingredient with the gas costs is that the gas agencies are having record income today ( approx 6 million advance on account that 2000). And in case you remmember gas costs did not advance until eventually katrina hit and on account that then gas has no longer dropped right down to the former costs even nonetheless the refinerys in new orleans have reopened and are totally operation.the problem lies with the important gas agencies operating mutually to advance the gas costs atthe same time and not in any respect in my opinion which could be unlawful ( its adversarial to federal guidelines to advance costs without reason in the journey that your the actually one which provides a mandatory service) the gas agencies keep telling congress diverse clarification why the gas costs prefer to stay extreme and therefor they don't seem being compelled to deliver gas costs down. some professionals are retaining that via 2010 we will be paying round 6 money a gallon generally. the reason i imagine that the gas costs gained't advance even as the operations foreign places are executed. notwithstanding i do trust once the iraqi authorities can employ sufficient human beings the gas costs will drop somewhat. reason being is there are over one hundred oil wells in iraq. actually one is operation because the iraqi authorities can no longer arise with the money for or locate sufficient human beings to operate the different and seem after the pipeline. we may be able to no longer despatched sufficient troops to attempt this both reason being that it will fee to a lot and then different governments of the international ought to even see that as some thing its no longer and it ought to create more effective issues than we may be able to take care of

It's all about supply and demand. when the weather is nice people are spending more time outside. IE Vacation, going to the beach. so the demand is high and the price is high. Labor day is pretty much the end of summer people dont do anymore vacationing and spend less time outside so the demand is less.
the gas prices drop for the winter every year they were just never this high so most people never payed any attention to the price.

Yes, they are dropping. They will more than likely continue to right up until the mid-term elections at which point, if the Repubs keep control, they will begin to climb again.

Yes it appears to be going down. I saw it for $2.46 in Louisville, KY today. I guess the media didn't want to mention it; for fear that President Bush might get credit for it.
