The age a child can be legally left alone at home is 12 in most states. That is providing the child is mentally and physically capable of caring for themselves. Check with your local police station just to be certain.

I believe its 12 but may vary from state to state. Personally i think it depends on how mature they are. There is some 10 yrs olds i would leave home alone before a 14 yr old.

I called the police department about this one long time ago and they told me as long as the child is responsible enough and you trust them. but for more info call the police dept.

13.... teens are now responsible and mature enough to be left alone.....they could just invite there friends so theyre not rily alone.... there is nothing much harm they will do as long as they know wat to do... phone numbers... emrgency/aid kits
