Never -
by the same token...
I have had the moral courage to correct people of darker complexions that use the term and let them know it's not just disrespectful of others...it shows a great disrespect for self.
Find better word...think before you speak.
You don't have to put people down when you address them.

Oops! It's hard, isn't it -- when you hear people using a term all over the place, some part of your brain says, "well, that word must be okay."
I think the feeling that it's forbidden almost makes it more likely you'll say it -- your brain is trying so hard to remember not to use that word you hear all of the time. It's like being told, "whatever you do, don't think about elephants!" All your brain wants to do then is think about elephants, or how important it is not to think about elephants...
I haven't done this one, but I have said things that just slipped out, that I wished I could inhale back into my head like a vacuum cleaner. Let's just say there are a lot of situations where #$(&! isn't appropriate, but out it came.

this is not a word that is stuck in my head,it would never come out my mouth, but my husband is black and i fight hard enough against my family on the race issue .most of my friend find it funny when this word is used, because they are intellegent enough to know the meaning, unlike the user in many instances

No , but i have said lazy or worthless which is what ****** means. It has nothing to do with color or race. It is associated with black people now only because it was used as a insult to blacks in the past. I do not say it now because the words meaning in society is different from its original meaning and is now unacceptable and unnecessary

Yeah, I seem to remember doing that quite some time ago. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, but you see how out-of-control those smack-talking games can get, huh?

Yes I think we all have @ one time or another and we should be ashamed of ourselves. As mom said we need soap in our mouths. As long as you recognize your mistake and don't do it again all is forgiven!

Outside of a 3 or 4 year old no one "accidentally" says The "N" word or any other offensive word! You meant to say it you may have wished you had not and may feel great remorse for it. However you intended to say it! I hope you said how sorry you were in each case!!
