I "do not" use AOL but have a question about how to change something having to do with AOL. The problem is ... when I come online some people who use AOL know that I am online simply because they have me listed in their e-address book. I really don't like that as it feels it is an intrusion of privacy as the people know I'm online and wonder why I don't email them right away.
Is there a way to fix it so that when we go online we are not visible to AOL users? You know, sometimes you just want to do a quick check of email and then go back offline. I don't want to feel pressured to respond to them immediately just because I know they see that I'm online.
What I am looking for steps that can be taken to remedy this situation. Thank you for your help.
