To them, it really is. I guess it seems like a purer world to them. I kind of remember things that way as a kid.

i think its funny when grown folks go to places and think that something is real when its just acting. i went with a friend to a program where my bother in law is over troubled youths. they put on a program where the kids had to play the adults and the parents had to play the kids. the parents couldnt speak unless the kids gave them permission to. my friend couldnt understand what was going on. it was more sad than funny.

It's called having an imagination. Apparently you don't have one. Let them think it. I'm sure you did when you were a kid. It's not funny in a laughing way, but funny in a cute way.

My dad took me to a punch and Judy show in a theater when I was about 3 or 4. I remember punch was looking for Judy and had a baseball bat and said he would come out and hit us if we did not tell where Judy was. I remember being terrified. I got hysterical and my dad had to take me out of the theater. I remember thinking that he was going to really hit us with that bat.

my son thinks when you play computer games an you come back to life that in real life he thinks that if he dies he will come back to life! he's 8 years old you'd think he'd learn by now the difference. its funny to some extent, but serious in other ways. but with most kids yeah it is funny! esp when they make up their own story!

Yes it's childhood. Children believe cartoons and invisible friends are real. If parents explain it to them, they will eventually outgrow it. Does the child really believe it's real or are they just using their imaginations.
If you're worried about it, don't take them to serious plays.

Aww..thats cute. Its like believing in Santa Claus or Tooth fairy. Kids have active imaginations which is wonderful! Sometimes scary movies seem real to me like that chucky dolll..ugh!! I hate him!!
