The form is a written warning issues to all employees who work here received one. It states that my behavior must be modified or I will be fired. This came about from some incident that occurred while I was not there. It also states I was spoken with in person on a specific date. I was never spoken too; in fact I was not even in the city as I was out on my honeymoon. We must sign they say or we are fired. Can they do this? Advice?

One of the SevenTests for Just Cause is:
"Did the Company, before administering discipline to an employee, make an effort to discover whether or not the employee in fact violate or disobey a rule or order of management?

Obviously not. Management in this case is using a "broad brush" approach, shining the light of suspicion on all employees, yet without any evidence as to whom the perpetrator is/was.

Responsible management has an ethical and moral obligation as well as a duty to treat employees in good faith and with fair dealing. In this situation, clearly, they have abdicated their role in favor of a knee-jerk reaction, which could come back to haunt them, at least in lowered morale, and at worse in an "unlawful termination" lawsuit.

Maybe call your State Labor Relations Board? Also the ACLU. Unless you happen to have a trusted attorney.

You should definately address is and make sure it can be documented that you were not involved. There are a lot of people who are having problems with this kind of thing.

Your being set up for dismissal. If you can't dispute the claim I would get a new job. Its called "attrition".
