I recently bought a nokia DKU-5 Connectivity Adapter Cable but my phone does not work with it?

I bought a DKU-5 Connectivity Adapter cable which is compatible with a nokia 6102 phone which I have but when I plug the cable in, it says there is an error. Do you know what the problem is? if you do, please tell me, this is urgent.
