It depends on your ear and how your body heals.
Always give 2 weeks MINIMUM in between stretches.
Ideally a month or two is best.
Never skip a gauge. This is the worst thing you can do. If you try to stretch it, and it wont go,don't force it. You'll tear the ear and it may never heal properly.
When stretching keep your ears well lubricated.Polysporin is a good idea.
Eating healthy and taking daily vitamin C can help your body stay healthy and heal quickly.

Its not in a matter of months weeks or days.
Everyones body is different. Just untill you can move the gauge back and forth in your ear without it hurting it should be healed.
You dont want to just stuff to big of a gauge in there because you might end up with a ball of skin on the inside.
So dont strech it all at once

3 months. And when stretching don't force a gigantic new gauge in your ear just because you can't be patient to size it up... It can be really PAINFUL & have a really dangerous side to it, so play it safe!

wait about 2 weeks untill the skin heals....i did mine over the course of a month or two...i went from a 12 to an 8 then to a 4..get an earring that is tappered...a lot earier to streach with out ripping the skin

I would wait about 6 months. my old bf had a size 10 gauge and he knows a lot about that kind of stuff.

you shoudl just stretch your lips out instead like those african tribes, because when this fad passes, that one'll be next and you can get a head start.
