I'd argue against an uncommon name.
Pick a grandmother or aunt you like and name the girl after her. Pick a common name so she will not go through life having to spell it, and STILL have people get it wrong. Pick a name that will work for a child and an adult. "Candy", for instance, is cute until she gets into high school. "Charlotte" is reasonably rare but has been around long enough people know how to spell it. Try for one with no more than two syllables; "Mar-ga-ret" gets reduced to "Mar-gret" all too often.
"Heather" was big 1965 - 1975, but has passed. "Tiffany" is too 90's.
