Just do what you said. Just because you leave friends as awesome as your coworkers must be you can still visit them and say hi to your boss. Sometimes its easy to lose track of people, if you don't want to, don't. I'm sure your boss and coworkers would appreciate it.

Or just buy yourself Dungeon Siege 2 to cope.

Hi,

I believe this is a common occurence and feeling. Especially for people in their mid/late 20's. We spend a large majority of our waking hours with our co-workers, and it is easy to become attached.

Just because you are changing employers does not mean you have to lose contact. Obviously, you will lose part of the team comraderie you had, but you can still be friends. You should just setup a time to grab a beer or watch "the game" after work.

Some of my closest friends are former co-wokers, and I truly treasure that friendship, but it is work. No longer are you set to see them several hours a week, and in promptu meetings typically don't take place. All that said, life is about change and I wish you great success with your new job.

Cheers and congratulations,

Leo

Oh, I went through the same thing about 3 years ago, I feel for you dude!! Just make sure to keep in touch, and try to set up movie nights or something to kick it with your old friends. Me and a group of people I used to work with try to get together once a month and go out to dinner, or drinks, or something just to catch up. Good luck at your new job!

Think about the good times....keep their numbers or better yet...emails to contact them once in a while and get together...and just look forward to the new people you're gonna meet at your new job. Old friends and new friends...sounds good to me...

You may find that these friendships actually get better, because now they will be friends instaed of just work friends... plus yu wont have to worry about workplace politics.

Can't you stay friends with these people? Ever think that you will make new friends at your new job too?
