Barroid will usually sit out if there is a day game after a night game, Yea I know if he were there for the TEAM instead of being there for his own numbers when he feels like it maybe they would be a little closer to first in the weakest division in baseball..

He's only got so much left in those wheels of his and, like an aging thoroughbred, needs to handle them with care. Generally speaking, the Giants have held Bonds out of a day game that follows a night game all year in order to give his knees a chance to recover.
If he were to go against that general policy, his knees would break down quickly and he wouldn't be able to play much. And remember, the man obviously can't run much anymore, so the reason his knees need to be in good order is because they're important for his hitting. The Giants with Bonds in the lineup, even though his production has dropped off this year, are infinitely more dangerous than without because teams still treat him with respect, and they know that he can still hurt them when healthy. He still gets on base at a healthy clip, and scores lots of runs.

Give the guy a break. He's 42. Plus when you've had knee problems in the past, what do you expect. He'll still break the record, and everyone will still hate him. In 50 years everyone will forget and love the guy.
Babe Ruth was a philandering, womanizing, abusive, drunk, racist, and hateful person. He was booed mercilessly during his playing days, and this was before mass media. Yet now everyone loves the guy. No one talks about his shortcoming, only about how he was a great hitter. Bonds will soon get that same treatment.

Give me a break. If Babe Ruth had an inkling that he would be the measuring stick one day, he'd have given baseball his full attention. Bonds is a juiced freak... I don't care how you work out.... YOUR HEAD SHOULD NOT GROW! Bonds will backdoor his way into the HR lead, most likely on an AL team as a DH.

He is getting old and can't play every game all the time. He also gets taken out in the 6th or 7th inning often.

I didn't realize he was playing tennis; that's the only sport that I have ever heard the term "Set Out". If he SAT out it was probably because of his knees.

he's not going to play every game either, c'mon, he's not 100%. If he doesn't retire after this season, then u'll know that he just wants to break the record.

Because his muscles were starting to ache. I have heard it said that his arms get sore after juicing up.
