I don't believe it's a priority, but she does for personal reasons. I believe others are priority for personal reason.

I do not hate it. There is many other things that people need to focus on first- more children die of diarrhea or hunger before they have a chance to die of cancer, but it is a valid question.
Doesn't everybody does things for personal reasons? I used to like her a lot when I was younger. She has been helping cancer survivors for a long time ( I remember her talking about that 15 years ago) so it's not just trying to get back in the limelight to snag some attention.
I still admire her, because she is doing something to help others, be it for personal reasons or not. So is Bono. I do not like them personally, but it is formidable that they are using some of their money for a good cause. Cancer may not be a global priority, but spending money on research how to cure cancer is definitely a good cause.
Many other celebrities do not do anything except blow money, promote hate or craziness (Mel Gibson, Tom Cruise, Paris Hilton and Britney Whitetrash Spears come to mind). Cindy's question is not the best, but we have to give her credit for showing interest, and putting in the time and effort.

It's like asking how can we make poverty or cardiovascular disease a priority. She is just trying to get some ideas and I am glad she is involved in this effort. However, using this answer and question forum is not going to make curing cancer a global priority. Maybe she should go ask Bill Gates for help.

Her question is a lot like asking "How can I make myself more popular by associating myself with a worthwhile cause?" People who are not concerned about finding a cure for cancer aren't going to be changed by Cindy Crawford (or anyone else).

I don't dislike it, but i think it's a very predictable question for a celebrity to ask. I agree we should make curing cancer a priority, but seriously who asks a question like that on the web?

It's not a stupid question. There are tons of stupid questions on here, but not one that wants to discuss curing a wide-spread disease. Now take this your question for example. Stupid as a bag of hammers. Stop whining and don't hate her because she's beautiful. Go buy a life.

Cindy Crawford has been out of her "limelite" for so long now she is creating ways to get more exposure. This is only my opinion of course.

It is irritating, I thought it was a priority... Guess all that research they are doing doesn't count for much.

Cindy is just another liberal twink, whose career is fading. She's looking for ways to stay in the spotlight.
