When the No Name storm came in off of the gulf 15 years ago, my family and I ended up with 4 1/2 feet of salt water in our home.

While we lost everything, the worst was the family photos. I have no pictures of my 3 daughters as they were growing up. That was the only thing I cried about loosing. My mother has pictures of my children but she is extremely mean. She says she won't give me any because I will just ruin them like I did the ones I owned.

I have had a couple of breakins in my home. (I do believe this house was trying to get rid of me...lol) Anyway they were only material possessions and someone must have needed them more than me. The vandalism was the problem...they put a knife in the vinyl covers of my kitchen set...thank goodness they didn't use it on the water bed.

With most men like ourselves, the loss of a bicycle is as heavy as bearing a mountain.
With Buddha the loss of the throne is nothing.
We have to learn the value of things and the meaning of gaining and loss to decide our attitude before eartly possessions.

I lost my son's pirate hat from his Halloween costume last year. I found all the other parts of the costume and all my Halloween stuff, but hat, gone? I was going to sell the costume on eBay.

I lost the key to my dad's house. I found the key chain, but no key. Who took it off and who threw it away? I had to ask him for another key.

I ended up with my neighbor's scissors because they look just like mine, and I intended to return them, but now I can't find them anywhere? I never told them I took their scissors.

Fur coat that was a gift
Money
a set of twins that I was carrying
Even though this is a partial list, I have gained so much.
With the loss of twins, I wouldn't have my daughter if that didn't happen, and I can't imagine life without her.
