Gas was 97 cents a gallon, electtic bills were cheaper, Clinton had erased the national deficet, owe, those were the days, and now one president later, and look what happened. Now, I'
m truely not a liberal or a conservative, I just simply belive a president should do what's best for our country, am I against the war in Iraq? Absolutely not, I'm just against the way our president went about it, he's not a good leader, face it, he's weak. If it were me, I would have just blew Iraq up and took their oil, and hung Sadam when I had the chance. That's whats wrong with our country today, weak leadership.

I remember those times, but that was two prezes ago;Bush and Bush. History normally shows that a democratic prez is more sympathetic towards the common man. Most of our recent republican prezes are more concerned with either looking out for himself or kissing up to his constiuents to even look at what really makes America. It is a fact that this country thrives on the blood, sweat, and tears of its working class-but we are the unheard, the unseen society. To have the republicans tell it,the democrats always put the country arrears when a democratic prez is in office. Real hard working Americans have a more positive outlook when one of thier own is in office. One thing for certain is Bush has created one of the biggest messes that this country has ever experienced in all of its history during his two terms. It will take years for us to recover from these wars of his. On top of the manmade disasters, consider the natural disasters at home;Katrina,Wilma. It's really sad that what is considered the world's wealthiest nation that this country cannot or should I say will not take care of its own. I don't see recovery or the good ole days returning soon. The future is not bright.

No, can't say that I do. I do remember the bad old days when Clinton was president and corporate America paid everything off from profits from the tech boom which had nothing to do with Slick. I do remember when Slick handed Bush a recession and Slick's "law enforcement problem" flew planes into the WTC, Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, PA. I remember the bad old days when the terrorists bombed us all around the world and got away with it. I remember the bad old days when Slick's ultra-Rich buddy Mark perpetrated the largest case of tax evasion and Slick patted him on the back and said that's OK, we don't mind. I remember the bad old days when Slick's main squeeze Janet made sure several families in Waco literally roasted. I remember the bad old days when Vince Foster was either so despondent over being involved with the Clinton criminals that he committed suicide or maybe they had him killed instead, we'll never know. I remember the bad old days when Johnny Chung bought Slick. I remember the bad old days when Slick's family sold Presidential pardons. I remember the bad old days when Slick and the Witch looted the White House on the way out the door. I remember the bad old days when Slick lied to congress and then treid to redefine the dictionary. I remember the bad old days when Slick was dumb enough to leave his spooge on a bimbo's dress. I remember the bad old days when our President dorked anything he could get his hands on and when they resented being used he and the Witch systematically ruined their lives.
I remember fine, just not the liberal version.

I remember the 1993 WTC bombing, the 1996 bobming of Khobar Towers, a military compound, the1998 attacks on U.S Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and the bombing of the USS Cole in 2000. All of which Clinton did nothing but get hummers from fat girls (not that there's anything wrong with that).

There are far too many issues in your post to be able to adequately address in a forum of this sort. I'll settle for just one: Clinton balanced the budget by gutting defense, and that is plaguing us to this day, in Iraq and elsewhere. Although it is clear that Saddam had to go, the notion of obliterating an entire country because of bad leadership is not acceptable to most people, including me

Yeah, I remember. I got a good student aid package and went to college and now I use my education to help others and make the world a better place one little bit at a time. I remember that life was good. there were jobs and you could buy a house. Nonetheless, Clintons foreign policy was pretty mean spirited as well. When a republican is in office the world is gone to s h i t. When a democrat is at the helm, things are at least good here, but we need a prez who will be useful in doing right in both arenas.

I agree, I sure miss the Clinton years. The economy was much better and we didn't have wars cropping up all over - it was a more peaceful time. Leaders of countries knew that there was an open discussion of things with the USA back then instead of the simple minded Bush.

Let's just hope that people vote Democratic in November and again in 2008 and maybe we can get ourselves headed back in the right direction. The Clinton years were great years and the Bush years will be remembered as fondly as other generations remembered the administration of such greats as James Buchanan and Warren G. Harding.

I believe it was Bush 41 that set forth the policies to clear the national debt. Clinton just took credit for it. All Clinton did was mess up the health system.

Clinton would have looked bad also if there where major hurricanes in the south, and if the twin towers would have been hit during his term.
