ph is the negative log of the Hydrogen ion concentration, that is log to the base 10.
ph = - log(6 x 10^-6) = 5.22 round to 5.2

The p in pH stands for negative log. The H, actually [H] stands for the hydrogen ion concentration. pH can be calculated by finding the negative log of the hydrogen ion concentration.

pH= -log(6 x 10^-6)
pH= 5.22

or a pH of 5, your answer should be reported with only one Sig. Fig. since your data only has one Sig. Fig.
