Some people believe in global warming and some people do not believe in global warming. If we believe
in global warming and try to stop it by controlling output of greenhouse gases, who benefits? If we don't believe in global warming and do nothing to stop it, who benefits?

Big business. That means the won't have to be worried about "wasting" money on making sure all waste is disposed of properly and safely. For companies, any short cuts save money. I personally, believe global warming is real, and natural. However, I believe we are helping speed up the process far too fast! (It's health vs. money)

Global warming has been largely discredited due to the fact that whilst some of it's predictions came true such as ice melting, others were found to be completely wrong such as the fact that some seas and oceans are actually getting colder!!

It is known that the earths climate has taken far wilder swings many times before.

The same amount of rain is falling just in different places so floods and droughts are caused.

Most scientists and most of the media now use the term "climate change" which is far more sensible.

Bear in mind if we follow a theory without being sure it is correct and then try and fix it we could in fact do tremendous harm!!

Whilst it is probably good to control greenhouse gases this needs to be put into perspective. The hole in the ozone layer has recently been found to be repairing far faster than it was thought it would.

If you want to control greenhouse gas then just get America to stop eating burgers. The cows required break wind repeatedly and if they were eaten and not replaced then that would cut far more greenhouse gas emissions than it is forecast is required!

great question, and the answers after a therough study, are something people should do b4 they vote. Checking out what their current rep has done or not done is also a good idea. I've done some studying and apparently this warming thing has happened lotsa times b4. Thats not to say it yields happy results or that we are not helping it along. This current nice weather thing would be nice if we could keep but apparently we do not know for sure how to do that, we may know how not to do it though. Perhaps we need to demand more money be put into getting the real answers and stop big bussiness interests from blocking the information we have available to us.

In the 70’s it was global cooling. The only one who benefits is the scientist who yells the loudest. Then they get the government funding.
