I was trying to have sex with my bf, he had a condom but when he was putting it in,it hurt it and i told him 2 stop, then in a day i got (BV)... went to the doctor, she gave me antibiotics, but my question is.... IS BV caused by having sex for the first time?

sorry dear you are no longer a virgin now. no the sex didnt cause it, bacteria down there did, wash good when you bathe, especially after sports

bacterial vaginosis is caused when the natural floura in your vaginal area has been thrown out of whack, meaning either it has produced too little or too much. BV is usually caused when the vagina does'nt have enough yeast production. Stay clear of thongs, douches, antibacterial soap, vaginal creams,foams, gels, powder, or perfumes until you have cleared the infection. Use only cotton underwear until then so that you have suffient air flow through the area and finish the product completely even when the symptoms have improved
