I have never owned a record, so I'll speak of CDs (same difference)...
I was 11. It was Comforter by Shai. The next week I bought Dre's The Chronic. This is when CDs were first coming out, so I was reeeaaally happy (especially since The Chronic had "Parental Advisory- Explicit Lyrics" on the front). I already had various tapes, but this was different.
To this day when I hear Baby I'm Yours by Shai, I think about that day in the mall. It comes on about once a year, so that's not too wierd I guess, right? Lol..
Nice question.

Ashes to ashes by David Bowie.

I'm quite lucky, some people have a real embarrasing 1st record. I still like mine and it's generally seen as quite a cool 1st one. It makes me laugh when people ask it because they're usually real music heads and when i answer, they usually say "REALLY??!"

I think I was about 7years old.

Record??? I'm surprised if anyone born after 1980 even recalls what those are.

My first one was either Def Leppard "Pyromania" or Van Halen "1984"
