I have had colitis for about five years and have had surgery once. When the doctor did the surgery they went in and took care of as much as possible and snipped two anal muscles, not completly cut the muscle just made a tiny snip to loosen the area, so I could have a normal bowel movement without bleeding. It has been about four years since the surgery and I really haven't had to many problems with the colitis however once you have it you always have it. My boyfriend and I have always been open minded about sexual activity and this is one thing I don't know if I can safely do without damaging myself. If anyone can help me out please let me know. Thank you!!!

I would never do something like that...You might get an infection and it is an unnecessary thing that your boyfriend is asking..and selfish, under the circumstances...and God hates this kind of stuff..so...to avoid another bout with the colitis, please, you tell ANY man no on this one you could start everything up all over again and it isn't worth it for a 'good time to be had by all"...

Ya know, i would ask the surgeon or your doctor since you had some muscles removed. I doubt there would be a problem and if they never gave you instructions not to have anal sex or use suppositories etc. it must not be a big deal, esp 4 yrs later. But i;d rather be safe than sorry, you could irritate yourself and start with a bout of colitis, which im sure you dont want. Check with your doctor if i were you. Tracey

If you are both virgins ignore the comments about cstching STI's or HIV as they cannot be transmitted on if the virus isn't in your body from unsafe repeated sex no condoms with multiple sex partners. Even if you have had sex before with a few partners, doesn't mean you are infected, so if yoy want complete peace of mind go and get tested at a sexual heslth clinic. She can't get pregnant from anal sex. She just needs to prepare you should finger her anus with lube work up to 3 fingers and see what she thinks first.

You must be familiar with the term colitis. colo=colon, itis=inflammation. you had two incisions of your rectal muscles. Considering that you will always have colon inflammation it's prefered to stay clear of such activity. scar tissue had formed and you may end up with an infection, just remember how uncomfortable the recovery was before you try this again.

You have said it yourself, once you have colitis, you have it. And yes, anal sex would be a huge risk for you. Personally, I would not risk it. Might disappoint your boyfriend, but your health is a bit more important than his gratification.

I would say don't try it. too much risk of damage and infection on your part.
