When Elvis was born, it was Aron (to look like Garon -twin brother's middle name). This was the spelling that Elvis used until later in his life. Towards the end of his life, he had it legally changed to Aaron to reflect his spirituality. That's why it is Aaron on his grave.

It's Aaron - my X husband wanted to name my son after him! That's still a nightmare for me. I don't know if Aaron is spelled that way or if it's Aron - I remember something about it being spelled wrong on his tombstone, but I don't know which one is his true spelling.
