Chemical reactions in Earth's reducing atmosphere formed organic compounds. With the right environment and more than a little luck, these organic compounds formed up into creations that metabolized, and eventually, became self-replicating. They became more complex and, eventually, became life. Once evolution took over they shot off in complexity.
There are several scientific theories exploring this territory right now, but since it was billions of years ago, it's hard to be 100% sure of anything. Some of this was reproduced in laboratories, though.

Did you want that with or without the big bang theory? Some teachers of Biology maintain that it correlates with Biblically recorded events. The actual length of a day may not be the current value (24 hours). Anyway, the websites below may be helpful in your understanding of the mysteries of the universe. I will allow you to arrive at your own conclusions...I still hold God responsible for ... e v e r y t h i n g.
Information about the early development of life includes input from the fields of geology and planetary science. These sciences provide information about the history of the Earth and the changes produced by life. However, a great deal of information about the early Earth has been destroyed by geological processes over the course of time.

They reproduced early earth conditions within the lab and found that creating life was actually rather simple.
The only thing they had to do was run a current through the test tube, and life starting growing and going nuts in only days.
Lightning. One little natural bolt of f ucking lighting struck and set off one hell of a chain reaction.
Simple things solve really big problems. We just don't like the answers sometimes. I feel, the answer to how the universe came to be is probably...very very simple.

Good question
The general concensus is:
When the conditions are right
You can take some raw materials and hit it with electricity, like lightning, and amino acids, (which can be naturally occuring raw chemicals, not just "protein building blocks") basically group together in a "cell like" conformation
They have reproduced this lifeless chemical process in the test tube. But to all irritation the "pre-cells" refuse to spotaniously generate into life.
But maybe it was a 1 time deal... anyhow, from that origional cell it could perform regular functions of life, including growing and reproducing by spiliting...then all other life could come through evolution.
I know you said not to bring God into it....But It still feels like someone had to be their to turn the key.... Just my feeling. But hey I'm I God loving Biologist, what can I say.

Early life forms don't actually give birth. They reproduce by splitting. I think the currently best accepted theory goes like this:
The ocean of the early Earth was rich in the organic chemicals that make up living things. With the constant input of energy from lightning storms, the chemical molecules got more and more complicated. Eventually there was a molecule that was able to make copies of itself. It vaguely resembled modern DNA. Meanwhile, there were also chemicals coming into being called phospholipids, which spontaneously form into bubbles. If a bubble of phospholipids forms and traps the DNA-like molecule inside it, you have something kind of like a cell.

Firstly, life neither proves nor disproves God.
Secondly, it has nothing to do with evolution. Evolution started with life, not before it.
Thirdly, you could talk about panspermia, but that just shifts the problem to another place at another time.
The simple answer is that we don't know - yet. We have been trying and failing for over 100 years, but the Earth had 1.5 billion, give or take.

i'm sorry, but you cannot ask a question like this and expect someone to answer without bringing God into it. The answer is Eve. Without bringing God into it, their is no answer.

uh you CANT answer that question without bringin God into it!The first ever birth was Adam!He was not born like babies he was made from the dirt on Gods earth with Gods on hands! So whoever thinks Adam was made from a man and a women your wrong!Because Eve his wife was actually made from dirt and Goods hands and one of Adams ribs!So there you go the first TWO births weren't births! They were made with GOD!!
