i wouldn't be really worried.
i've had my period for almost 3 years now, and it is no where NEAR regular. it comes and goes as it pleases, skips months, last 2 days sometimes, 7 days other times.
anyway, your problem doesn't sound very serious.
It can take up to 3 years from the time a girl starts menstruating for her body to develop a regular cycle.
Even then, what's regular varies from person to person.
Girls' cycles can range from 21 to 45 days.
When it comes to periods, every girl's body has a unique and unpredictable timeline for getting on track.
I wouldn't freak out too much about it.
Hope this helped. :]

Your cycle was probably a full month for the four months it was regular...that is why you were seeing it occur at the same time of the month...then your cycle shortened by five days (so you saw it five days sooner than before), etc.

That would explain the change in days.

The last one at 17 days earlier could just be heavier than usual spotting.

That would be my guess...but I'm a guy, so what do I know. ;-) And I'm not grossing out...that is part of being a woman. I respect what women have to go through.

Again talk to your Gyno but right off hand your periods can change alot if you are under alot of presure or if you are haning out or around another female your cycles will be around the same time. Also if you are exercising alot more than you used to that could throw you off too. Go to the doctor have them check you out then get on birth control that can help you regulate your periods

your body can go through hormonal changes, even if you were regular before. BUT, you should go see a doctor to have it checked out, have a physical. you should do this to make sure you don't have problems in the future. some doctors even suggest birth control for a short time if it's off too much, but that's for you and the dr. to decide!!!

take care!!!

Well it depends how old you are, if your under 20 your cycle might not have a regular rythem yet and could be unpredictable, im 21 and my cycle is only becoming regular...

Your body is trying to get used to the hormones and your body is trying to regulate itself. It will take 2-3 years.

youre fine. it could be stress, diet, exercise, or even the fact that some months have few days.
another thing that will mess you up could be if you are living with or hanging out a lot more with other females. its totally true that we affect each others cycles.
