Come on down. You'll love love Texas. The air is great!

IF you are seriously depressed, you need to seek professional help. Simply moving won't do the trick.

Is it the city of Chicago that is depressing you? Maybe you are moving to Dallas because you are running from your problems. If that is the case, you might want to get some help with that first. Then move where you want. Otherwise the problems will just follow.

Why is it depressing? What will Dallas have that Chicago doesn't? Why don't you move to NEW YORK, where the excitement never ends!!!
BUT...the cost of living might depress you even more...sorry!

I agree with Katie. Dallas can be downright unbearable in the summer. The heat and humidity are brutal.

If you can get past the summer weather and the fact that many people from Dallas think the Cowboys are God's gift to humanity, you will love the city.

its no good running away from somewhere thinkin u will b happy there. its got to come from within you. ask yourself, whats depressing about where u live, and would it really be better in Dallas?, and if u think u need to get away, go with ur idea, but its a big move. i live in Ireland, and with our weather, believe me, u can get depressed, but i was moving to the states a few years back for work reasons, and decided against it. i was glad in the long run. good luck whatever you do.

Oh girl, the party is about to start! Come on down to Austin, TX when you get settled in up there in Big D! We have the nation's largest waterpark (65 acres) in New Braunfels, TX called Schlitterbahn, it's been rated #1 on the Travel Channel for 5 straight years! Oh but that's just the beginning of your blues remedy! I love Dallas, San Antonio, and of course, we had endless miles of beaches down by Corpus Christi and South Padre Island...one of the hottest Spring Break colonies in the nation! So come on down girl, what cha' still thinking about?

Yeah - wait one more year, so you can come *visit* Dallas during the summer and realize that you'd better have more motivation for moving here than "I don't like where I am now".

Dallas is a great place to live, but you really should visit before you make such a big decision. (And by the way, we don't "think" the Cowboy's are God's gift to humanity, we KNOW IT).
