where do all the animals in the zoo go when a hurricane and bad weather hit?

They put them in the shelters in their enclosures. Most zoos will have staff members stay at the zoo to monitor the animals. I'm sure their buildings are built to withstand most weather conditions. If you watched the news after Hurricane Katrina, they talked about what happened to the animals. Most were not relocated until after the Hurricane hit. They had supplies on hand to keep the animals going for several days.

Zoos have evacuation procedures in place for all of their animals. As long as there is warning - the animals should be safe.

well im not sure where they put them or how they keep them safe but im sure they dont just leave them there. idk i think zoos are a good thing if it means keeping endanger..d animals safe and breeding more but if they are over populated then i dont see the reason of keeping over 2 or something.

i guess they go into a part of the zoo that isn't the exhibit.

Dont worry they get taken care off...they put them in safe shelters.. until the fear/risk is over.

i don't know i am guessing that they survive on their own that's what i have always heard animals usually never die in things like that...............don't forget i said usually
