Yes, the same happens to me too. Luckily, I don't have many of those kinds of dreams, but I think the dream implies impending death. I guess you wake up because if you didn't your brain would think it "died." Next thing you know, your heart obligingly has a cardiovascular seizure.

Its a stage of sleepeness when your nervous system "shut downs" for rest it feels like you're falling when actually you're nicely laying in bed.

its not just ur thought that dreans,,, its even ur body,, and there is this sytem called immune system in ur bosy, this prevents from anything to happen,,,,,,
lemme give an example,,,, take a knife and try to put it in ur eyes,,,
try to bite ur tounge with ur tooth,,,,
can u ,,?,,i know u cant,,, there is something else in our body that protects us,,,,withouth our knowledge
