LOL, my initial thought on this question was with traffic... "If I could avoid other drivers, I might be able to save gas..." Then the reality hit me! I'd now have to look out for those same idiots coming at me from all directions!
I used to watch the Jetsons and wonder why all the cars flew like they were on a highway...

No because I can barely drive my car on the road. Having a hover car means driving AND flying. To me that's just scary.

depends on how high they hovered and how much gas....gas spent could relieve traffic jams

hell yes! and it would save gas to be able to hover OVER the traffic jams, rush hour, and wrecks. and maybe even airfare.
