Tell you re friend to go talk to him, ask him something about school, materials, or class schedule. And do things step by step.

Tough one. But you know what? It IS ok for a girl to ask a guy out. People ask that question here all the time and all the guys say pretty much the same thing. If nothing else, it's a great ego boost. (Post that question here. See for yourself.) Also, since she doesn't see a whole lot of him, if she does ask and it doesn't work out it's not like she then has to face him every day. I am a guy, and one of the biggest regrets I have is that I never asked my crush out when I was in school. Tell her to give it a shot. No matter what, she'll be better off in the end. Oh and remember: "If crushes were easy they would call them something else."

Well its never easy when you are shy! Tell your friend that if this person is really important to her, whether it be friends or more that she wants to be she needs to overcome her fears. All she needs to do is start up a conversation, this usually breaks the ice. Tell her that if they where friends before , then surely nothing has changed they should still be friends. She needs to take the first step because apparently he has not. Hope this helps.
