This at first glance may seem like an irrational behavior, and unfair. However, there is cause for the differences. Women view a relationship based primarily on security nad trust. They call it love - but love only happens when they the security and trust.
When their partner (male or female) cheats they feel betrayed and therefore have a much higher response than the typical man does.
Men view relationships primarily as benefits and comfort. When the comfort is there men will stay when it goes away men will stray. Basically men are less attached then women and have less at stake then woment, therefor when their partner cheatson them they are less likely to react as high as womendo. this is of course a general statement. There are menwho are more emotionaly involved than women and visa versa.

may be , they cannot get over it . cause , the man is still doing it wrong . we all are human , there are no perfect people in this world . if women can forgive their men for making their mistake . so , men can do it to . as longer there is still love . a relationship is 50/ 50 and it takes two to make it work . it's not good to be too proud . there is a phrase that said " Don't do to others , what u don't like to Be Done to U " people need to learn how to be more forgiven and understanding .

Women cant get over it when their husbands cheat, but that doesnt mean that the husband doesnt feel like he should be forgiven too.

It's not just women. But I think the reason that [people] do it, is because they feel like their partner is getting revenge, even though they said they forgave the other person. I feel that if you told your partner that you forgive them, or if you still took them back after the fact, that it's still wrong to cheat for revenge. If you feel the need to do that, then the relationship is over.

Because once their husband does it, it's only the beginning for him & a continuing pain for the wife. When females cheat, it's normally out of desperation from lonliness, a lack of attention or payback from the husband cheating and it stops there.

for the same reason that men feel they should be forgiven when they cheat. People are not perfect. We all make mistakes, but not the same ones twice.

Ummmm maybe because we're better? lol j/k who ever said that? If I ever cheated I would expect my S.O. to remind me of it and to be very very very very hurt. Every day for a long time. The same would go the other way.

Because people who cheat are self centered, be it a man or woman.
I hate cheaters, they are a lower class of people.
