"Common Sense" by Thomas Paine
and and by Aristotle

All three combined, when read by the masses, would help society to understand how it wants to rebuild itself. Very little moralizing, just clean and simple logic with a touch of an emotional plea for balance. Then the people as a whole could be better able to define what would work best for them, based on the simple guidelines set forth in these writings.

Jame Joyce 'Ulysses'

Samuel Beckett's Trilogy ('Molloy', 'Malone Dies', 'The Unnamable')

&

'Collected Plays of William Shakespeare'

Mostly because they're great, but also because if I'm going to introduce books into a society then they must be books that I've enjoyed (I haven't read all of the third but enough to know it's top quality).
