thats interesting, im a sophmore in college and have recently started to study architecture. i was pre-med for all of last year and doing that helped me realize that architecture is what i wanted to do, not go into medicine. you should stay open to other careers,, i was pretty set on going to med school, but after a year i realized that i hated it and that i dont wanna do this for the rest of my life. i was good at art and i started to take art classes last semester. now im an art major and ive never been happyer.
on one hand it is very easy and probably better that youre focused on one thing and be committed to it throughout undergrad and grad school. on the other hand, your closing out alot of options and by choosing one thing you can never be sure that that is what really makes you happy. you wouldnt marry your first girlfriend if you werent sure that she was the one. you go out with a few others first. in highschool you should be open to experimentation (of all kinds). your young, what do you have to worry about. enjoy those few years because they dissapear fast. have an open mind and try new things.

i have always wanted to be a teacher then a pediatrician, then Advertiser . Anyways , I know how u feel. We believe that if we have dreams we want to accomplish, we ought to do whatever it takes to make them come true. What I suggest is to research more about Architecture, but you should also take an assesment test which helps you to define your abilities and your weaknesses, etc. your aptitudes.
But u know what? eventually if u talk to an architect and u feel super excited about doing the same thing. then that's what u will study. Good luck !! Remember, whatever u are, be the best one in the field !!

Well, have you considered any other careers since the 7th grade? If not, then yes, your presumption of Architecture is keeping you from considering others.
If not and you have considered other career choices, then the answer would be no.

No, if you like architecture, go for it...BUT...when you go to college, check out other majors as well. You can always get a double major in architecture and something else, and on average...people change their college majors 4 times during college.

Not necessarily. Your passions determine what you best enjoy. My friend was interested in it but opted to do engineering BAD choice he switched to architecture and has not looked back!
So my advice explore but stay true to yourself

Some people know what they want to be at an early age! Personally, I think that is wonderful! I also think we can be what ever we want to be, but without direction, this is just wasted! If you want to be an architect, be one!

No, you're just being decisive. That's a good thing.
People who don't chase their dreams are usually miserable, and markedly less successful than those who do. Your passion is what makes you successful.
