I just drained the pump and there was a grayish substance that came out. It looked like oil and water mixed.

Probably a gasket is blown. In some units the pressure works along the lines of an air compressor. A simple gasket failure in either the engine or the pump can cause a pressure failure.

Now that you have drained the oil out of it, I'm sure it will not work, Possible to buy some pump oil at Home Depot, As long as you havent ran it without oil and blew the seals.

It sounds like your pump is bad. There is an oiler that lubricates the bearings on some washers.
