For a man who at a point in his life loved a woman, is a person that will never be able to erase from the spot she use to fill. You reside in his mind / heart - but whatever the reason the choice was made for things to be this way, is why you are where you are now.

I think your ex-old man wants you back. That or he is trying to make nice. But red roses are a sign of great affection, yellow are friendship.

He still cares about you, probably in a different, matured way, where he will always have a spot in his heart for you. But not the same spot it used to be. ( He MAY NOT know that yellow is for friendship, I didn't).
It's your move, whether to cut off the relationship, or adapt to the matured and different relationship. Good Luck, I mean well.

if he doesnt contact you anymore, thats a good sign. if he is seeing someone and sent you flowers on your birthday it was just a kind jesture.... he wanted you to know that he really wasnt so bad after all..... if he sends you flowers for no reason then he wants you back.
