Foam board and foam core insulation will usually be found at places like home depot or lowes or any large building supply house.
It could be an art thing, but I don't know.

Some crafts stores do. I don't know if you have a Jo-Ann's fabrics where you live, bu they have some foam board. If not in any craft stores, check out some hobby stores. They have them...

if you live in NYC check out canal street, canal rubber and foam or pearl paint.
staples has foam core too, thats all over america
