As all the other said,his father is Greek and white and his mother comes from Cameroon.His parents met when his father went a trip to Cameroon and they come back they got married and Sofoklis was born here and lives here all his life.
From the other side,why is this a surprise for you?Have you ever seen the french athletes?The french basketball team or the french football team.Yes,they are all descedants of Asterix and Ovelix.French teams are african teams.Even Germans have a lot of coloured,the ghost of Hitler must be upset.LOL
Besides that , if someone like sports only , he probaply thinks that the States is a country somewhere in Africa with a lot of coloured people.And we also know, that you are not so good with them in the States,you really don't like them but they are those who take the medals for you!

Well sofoklis skortsianitis is Greek,his father is Greek from Kavala(Sofoklis was born and rased where) a city at north Greece and his mother is from Senegal.If you just see his name you can understand where he is from.He is playing with Olympiakos Pireaus basketball club.
