I saw Mrs. America on a tourbus yesterday. I'm curious who other people have met.

When I was 18 I was modeling for a local magazine down by a famous hotel in our area and this big bus pulled up in the back by the river where I was and then this really scary looking dude with really white skin and black stubble and black bushy hair, black outfit etc. came out of the hotel and told us he was the bass player for Hall and Oates. He asked what we were doing...so we told him and he asked if he could get a picture with me. So my photographer took a picture of us and then the bass player asked if I wanted
to see the tour bus! Well of course I did. So I got on. It was really pretty and comfy looking, but it smelled like vomit. (I guess Oates was feeling a bit under the weather) So I was about to get off and Darryl Hall gets on. Man! Is he a big guy. It was in the 80's too, so you can imagine...big hair, big padded leather jacket, cowboy boots, skinny jeans...
And THEN he says in a really MEAN voice "WHO THE HELL IS THIS"...referring to me. The bass player about peed himself trying to explain why I was on the bus. I don't know what came over me, but I think I was actually mad at Darrel for treating this guy like that...so I said "I am not leaving til I get an autograph" and then I started to giggle. Darrel told the bass player to get him an "f"in pen and paper. So I got the autograph, but then I didn' t want it because I thought he was so mean. When I was getting off the bus he didn't even move, I had to squeeze past him.
I understand now that I am older that he probably was very sick of fans...but I've seen him in interviews since and he is pretty full of himself. I guess the ego goes with the job.~!

Yes, a few times in the late 80's and early 90's.
I went to Del Mar racetrack in southern California and saw Mel Brooks and talked to Timothy Hutton. I also saw another familiar actor but his name escapes me at the moment.

I went shopping at a health food store in So. Cal. called Mrs Gooch's and saw Kyle McLaughlin (from the TV show Twin Peaks) and met Yeardly Smith (best known as the girl who does Lisa Simpson's voice).

I also went to a taping of a TV show called "Roomies" and saw Johnny Carson in the parking lot and met one of the ladies from the show "Golden Girls" (I believe her name is Estelle) as well as Burt Young (one of the stars of the show - he is best known for his work in the Rocky movies).

I also played softball with this guy who was known as the "Unknown Comic" (but I don't remember his name).

Oh, I also shook Robert F. Kennedy's hand when I was a kid.
