women are just as shallow. if you look closely at any answer posted by a women about any kind of perceived "up to date" fashion, they will not go out with a man unless they posses the "current" appearance that has been force fed thought the media. look at the answers from women of a question i asked about men with long hair. sure their where a couple of women who don't mind men with long hair, but basically they said get up to date. of course in the 60's it was ok, cause it was in. 70's was a little shorter but still in. 80's focused on MTV and hair bands and of course the public followed. now its all about short hair and the bald look.
plus if women weren't so shallow they wouldn't have make-up, get their nails done, pay over $100 for a haircut. men don't wear make-up and don't go to salons, unless you're the chic city dwelling metro-sexual. men drink beer, get a belly, lose their hair. what is shallow about that.
you have to remember that men are visual. extremely visual. we don't understand either. its just part of our make our. we enjoy using our eyes.

I am a woman and find that statement quite sexist and untrue. You cannot generalise about males or females in terms of character. Men may be more reluctant at times to show their emotions but thatis mainly because mothers(women) raised them to believe big boys don't cry. I know men who think very deeply and I know women who are very shallow.....

If you meet a guy that you think is shallow, just ask him a deep question? If he answers, then you know he is not shallow.

so what is your question? anyway, not all of us are shallow. not all of us like a girl only for her looks. it is the first thing to attract us, but some of us are looking for important qualities like decency and maturity.
and let's be real. some women are just as shallow, and only want guys who have the nicest car.

We're only shallow on the surface. Dig a little and you'll find the depth of character that your looking for.

I ditto what billy said, and moggiemouse too!Sounds like you have issues, sort them out, deal with them, and always remember that not all men are the same, and neither are all women,we are all different...dont go banging off until you know ALL the facts,or have met ALL men, then you maybe qualified to have an opinion.
