Two things sure to work. One answer said to get the strength shoe. If this is the shoe that has an extra paid underneath the shoe that allows the heels of you feet to be suspended off the ground, then yes it work. I used a "Strenght Shoe" when I was in high school. I was always a good jumper, but this shoe allowed be to get above the rim, and was 5'9''.
The other is a drill is simple. My 8th grade coach had some off us touch the net 40-50 times a day. If you 6'2'', you may want to touch the bottem pad off the backboard. Good luck, and happy dunking.

if you are serious.

buy strength shoes from Ebay... make sure you get the video too.

they will work. i am 5 ft 10 and used to dunk, takes about 3 months of working out good.

examples, 5 sets, 30 sec resting.

75 yrd dash -not full speed,
power slides, left and right
run backwards.
power skips,
jump in place== knees to chest-- 15 second.
power jump--40 yards.

try to get the white strength shoes. black ones are for grass drills. later, IT WILL WORK

well the strength shoe will work but that cost money. see a cheap way actually its free. lots of leg stretching and jumping. lifting weights also will do the trick when you squat you down with your weight on you hieels and when you rise again come up into a toe raise full leg workout. TRUST ME!!! 6'8 high jumper!!! and im in high school
