I have AIM and it doesn't have any viruses. I have a good virus scanner program though. I got the free AIM cause we don't have AOL. It works well for us. I haven't had any problems.

Is that what's making the computer so slow - oh my freakin' gosh... my friend talked me into getting it - AARGH... I have Y!M and it runs much faster than AIM. Some of my friends have MSN Messenger. HMPH - I'll have to look into this...

its hard to get off of AOL. we are still trying to fight and get aol off of our bank account and all we used was a free cd and called to cancel because i like comcast internet better and they are still charging. we are currently fighting within our bank to get aol to stop charging. if you want aol, you will have it for life, so it seems.

it can... alot ofmy friends have had to get new computers becaue aim virused them up.
what you can do is get aim express, you dont have to download it, and you can still go on it. i use it, and nothing has happened to my computer.
