Why do the S&P Barra Futures (Growth and Value) settle later on Fridays then any other day of the week?

Note that the S&P/Barra indices have been discontinued in favour of the S&P/Citigroup Growth and Value indies. The methodology is somewhat different.

As far as I can tell, the settlement is determined at 3:15pm Chicago time on Monday through Friday - I don't think it settles later on Fridays.
