Music evokes strong emotions and strong memories. "Turn It On Again" by Genesis (off the album Duke) is a light happy song. Bob Seger did a song called "The Famous Final Scene" which has very sad lyrics. "One Tin Soldier" will sometimes put a lump in my throat. "He Thinks He'll Keep Her" Mary Chapin Carpenter (sad lyrics). Music with a lot of drumming (ie. Santana) are very uplifting for me and jazz just puts me in a dreamy place (which is just before you get to happy).
