Baseball should never be associated to as the "Steroid League"! Yes there are people that have taken some form of performance enhancer, as well as still, and always will be. However that will be the case in every sport and is right now. People are always going to be trying to get some kind of advantage upon their opponent its our competitive nature. Baseball is not the only one with performance enhancing substances they are just the most widely known of.
Also to let you know Football only tests for 4 known substances, that are outdated and no one would use anyways.

Of course there are players who are clean. Just because the media makes it seem like the MLB is the worst does not make it true. Baseball holds its history higher than any other sport so when somebody is juicing and breaking records, its a big deal and everyone hears about it. Despite what Bronxbomber says, Ortiz isn't on anything and there are many players who respect the game too much hurt its integrity.

Good question. I hope there are clean great players but until baseball ,and all sports really, decide to clean up the steroid issue we many never really be sure. I know drugs like HGH is very hard to test for and so do the athletes. It is truly sad to watch MLB do absolutely nothing at all to stop the farce of Bonds breaking the great Hank Aaron's HR record.

Hmmm... if I remember correctly the Panthers & Raiders Super Bowl teams each had members suspended for postivie tests...
That's why track & field has suspensions on a monthly basis.
Oh, and did I read some scandal about the last several Tour d' France winners?
Or, maybe you were thinking that the NHL would be the gambling sport? the NFL would be the murder league? the NBA would be the cocaine and no condom league? And of course major league soccer would be the boing league... just as it is now.

Most batters nowadays dont actually use steroids, ever since Bo Jackson showed people that you can be muscular and still swing the bat more and more people have been spending up to 10 hours a week doing specialized weight training. Pitchers have been found to use steriods to heal their arms faster.

the nfl is probably more of one..the only reason why baseball is being singled out is because people are gunning for the record books and baseball's records are far more sacred than any of the other sports.
