Pay the outrageous fee that the mobile company charges to cancel before the term is up. Next time see if you can get a less-fancy phone without a contract. Verizon has them.

If you have a phone that a friend or family member would want to use you may have them "take over" your contract. It is usually referred to as a Change In Financial Responsibility. This would allow you to exit the contract and allow them to start service without buying a phone or having a full length contract.

You'll more than likely have to pay the outstanding line rental on the contract, although in most cases the tariff should be reduced down to the cheapest available for the remainder of the contract.

Call and tell them you would like to terminate the contract and you most likely will have to pay an early termination fee.

Simple asnwer is.. You can canell anytime you want, but bearing in mind, you are usually entered into a 12 / 18 month tarriff. the cheapest to end a contract is to reduce your line rental to the lowest possible with your network soon as you can, and then just kill it off from there. pay them upfront the remaning tarriff at approx £15.00 / £20 amonth for the remaining month.
Another way is.. if your after a new phone and tarriff, and you don;t have much long lenght, you can actually go to a mobile phone shop, where they will offer to BUY YOU OUT of your contract, so they get you to sign up with them. My wife wan'ted to get anew phone, and was bored of her tariff, so pop into our local shop, and the guy gave us 4 months of the remaining line rental in cash, so we can pay off our existing contract. guess.. what, she's gone and got the K8001.... lovin it.

yes but you have to pay the remainder of your contract i.e. 12 month contract and you,ve had it 2 month you will have to pay them 10 months fee. you will be better off changing your plan to the cheapest you can have and then ringing up a month before your contract is due to end to cancel.

You can ring the phone company and ask to have it changed to pay as you go as you can not afford to keep in contract, then when this is done you are contract free.
