It could be stress, an allergic reaction to something, or as a woman a change in your hormones could also be the source of your acne. If the problem continues try going to a dermotologist. Good Luck*

Acne In Adults
Acne is normally considered a problem of teenagers. Most people believe that acne will clear forever after the teenage is past. That is not true. Acne can appear in adulthood also. Many adults, especially females suffer acne in adulthood.
The reasons of adult acne may include hormonal changes during pregnancy, menstruation, some drugs as anabolic steroids, etc. Some lithium containing drugs, few anti-tuberculosis drugs and some other drugs may also cause adulthood acne. You need to talk to your doctor about the association of any drug you may be taking and its acne causing potential.
Sometimes acne appears in people who had no acne during their adolescence and sometimes it recurs for no reason. Some other reasons of adulthood acne may be pressure on a particular place of the skin by some mechanical action. This is also called acne mechanica. Carrying a backpack that constantly irritates the skin is one such example. Look for such reasons if you get acne in adulthood. Some industrial chemicals can also cause acne. This is an occupational problem and is called chloracne. You may be confusing other conditions such as folliculitis, which is a disease of hair follicles, with acne. Adult acne is difficult to treat than adolescent acne and you should talk to your doctor rather than taking OTC medicine.

Yep, I was just like you. Good skin as a teen then hit thirty-something and out came the acne. I had to get serious about my skin care. You have to find a good product line for your type of skin and develop a good regimen. I have combination skin that tends to be a little on the dry side. The pimples were mainly on my forehead and chin. It took about 6 months, but after going thru several product lines, I finally have something that works. If it helps, here is what I do:
1.Wash twice a day with Mary Kay cleanser/toner.
2.Persi-Gel in the morning on the forehead and chin for pimple prevention.
3.MK timewise am (morning) and pm formula (night).
4. MK moisture morning and night.
5.Philosophy sugar scrub once a week. (then steps 1-4)
6. I use spring water on my face instead of tap water.
When I stick to this, I have very few problems. And when a pimple does pop up, it's tiny and doesn't last long or scar. I should have done this years ago. My skin is now baby soft.
Good luck!

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.
The secret is never to touch the spots
Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?
