Begin with a library somewhere. Pick up a book at random. Read it. If the topic interests you, look for other books of that kind.
But while you're at it, pick up another book, again at random. Read that one, too. If your library has a magazine section, see if they have National Geographic. There's a magazine just waiting for someone such as yourself to come along and be enlightened by it.
If you have a library with a travel section, raid that section. There should be any number of Rough Guide / Lonely Planet type books there, aimed squarely at helping you to think of a place where you can go, and at the same time highlight some of the unique pitfalls of travel in those locations.
Think of it as equipping yourself to go into battle somewhere. In this case, your library contains books - the greatest weapons you will ever need.
Arm yourself. With knowledge.

Dont waste time trying to decide.. Make a list, start at the top and work your way down. Your lucky you have that blank page to start with. Many peoples page is filled with things like family commitments etc which prevent them.

NJ, it's everything you could ever need all rolled up into one little state. Never more then an hour from NYC, The ocean, Philly, and anything youd ever want. PLus only 3 hours from New England.
Just my opinion though.

So what you are saying is that you are a bright, open-minded and confident person who is just missing a purpose in life.
As for the purpose, only you know your own mind. We are all different and have different goals in life. What do you feel passionately about? Know that and you will find your vocation.

New Hampshire. It's a lovely, open-minded state where people are remarkably respectful of one another, and you don't have to pay sales tax or income tax. Personally, I'd recommend my aunt and uncle's hometown of Londonderry.

I would have to say to Ireland...I am Irish and I would love to go to see my heritage....there are a million places to travel to...I would also go into my heart, and just write down how I feel and what comes to mind..
