That's all myth. They only recently filmed the first live giant squid EVER, so I'd say no...giant squid's have never eaten people or even attacked them unless it was in a time before we had the capabilities of proving it.

Uhh...considering that a giant squid has never been seen alive, and almost nothing is known about it, I would have to say it is not likely.

well alot of ppl say they dont have 100% sure evidence that therer are "giant" squids, they have captured parts of squids that are abornamly big but havnt proven that there is a seperate species of "giant" squids

Yes, it's certainly possible as Old Giant Octopuses become somewhat senile in their old age and one even attacked a submarine and it was caught on video.
