That really stinks! I really like that magazine! What are they going to do just stop sending them are send a letter and my subscription isn't up so I just lost all of that money which stinks too!

Yes, Teen People is ceasing publication. The last issue to hit newstands will be the September 2006 issue.
Teen magazines appeal to a small segment of the magazine market as a whole. Teens (girls generally) usually read them for max. 3-4 years before they move onto more mature titles like People Magazine.
Time Inc. is keeping the Teen People website active for now.

Yes, love the magazine but they're stopping the print edition, at least it will survive on the Web. Here is an exerp from the memo:
"We regret to inform you that we are suspending publication of Teen People magazine, effective with the September 2006 issue. We will continue to invest in the brand through TeenPeople.com which shows promise and growth. Teen People's groundbreaking launch in 1998 as a magazine and website was an industry first, and one that we remain proud of.".

They are stopping their magazine because of the competion with the other teen magazines, like J-14 and Tiger Beat to name a few.
