The government probably raised the prices so they could pay for some of the war and claim even the rich are suffering during the Iraq war just like the poor people...and to pocket money for Halliburton of course!

oh wow, they're going to be below $2. That's so much lower than they were before Bush.
oh wait, No.
You vote for an oil man, you get higher oil prices. You vote for a weapons development investor, you get war. Go figure.
To the person who says we didn't go to war for oil because Bush is interested in domestic oil, that is correct. Oil is a world market. When foreign oil is scarce, it raises the price of ALL oil, domestic included... and since Bush and his friends in Texas have so much of it, they get rich, along with the Saudis and Chavez. Presidents do things which are immoral. Clinton bombed Iraq to make their oil more available, and lower oil prices for Americans. This was wrong, even though he did it for our benefit. Bush invaded Iraq to make its oil less available and raise oil prices for Americans for personal profit. This is wrong as well, even more so.

OPEC is much more powerful than Iraq, and the recent problems with less refinery processing cause gas prices to increase more than anything Bush does. Venezuela and Russia command much more of the oil market than Iraq, and at the same time demand continues to grow all over the world. Look for a global reason rather than a narrow U.S. reason.

The Israeli government prayed for the attack on Iraq, which has eliminated the strategic threat posed by Iraq. America was pushed into the war by a group of Neo-Conservatives, almost all of them Jews, who had a huge influence on the White House. In the past, some of them had acted as advisers to Binyamin Netanyahuwww.nowarforisrael.com/

If anyone believe oil prices are going below $2.00, you have your head in the sand.
Oil prices are NEVER going to drastically go DOWN, ever again in our history.
We have reached PEAK production, and for the REST OF OUR LIVES until it is GONE, production rates are going to DROP year after year and it is going to get more EXPENSIVE to EXTRACT OIL.
George Bush has NO CONTROL OVER THIS WHATSOEVER.
HE DOES NOT RAISE GAS PRICES< MARKET FORCES DO. It's about SUPPLY AND DEMAND and we, the countries who drive big fat CARS and especially americans driving SUVs and NOT using public transportation are DEMANDING more than the WORLD can SUPPLY, so PRICES GO UP.

Are you so cynical as to believe the price of oil will drop by 30% just in time for elections. Do you think our government would manipulate the price of oil to pick up a few votes?
Not bad. Thats more realistic that my guess that they'll find Osama in a spider hole in Pakistan.

Watch the oil prices skyrocket really high and fast when the sanctions against Iran actually kick in. Please dont tell me bush has nothing to do with it..he's the one sticking his nose into irans business. LETS NOT change the topic. But lets see how the prices will rise when iran whiplashes back.

........no, he started the war with iraq b/c, he failed geography, and thought iraq was iran (you know iran, they sound the same, but iran was the one actively seeking uranium hexafluoride gas, which is used in the enrichment process of creating a nuclear bomb, and iraq was the one with no WMDs and was a "threat" to our national secruity) and then later we found out we were "liberating" iraq from an evil dictator..what happen to the wmds?

YES HE DID....as well as helping a few friends get rich on selling tanks and army products we would need to go into war....It cannot be a coincidence that all of his friends are getting rich because of this war....greed is prominent in his family...I dont think his father was as greedy but he had his own agenda....
